In this tutorial I’m showing how to make the pineapple lanyard (scoubidou, gimp , boondoggle).
In order to make this lanyard we will be making a stitch that is very similar to the Corkscrew stitch.
In order to start the lanyard you will need to cut 4 strings (each of the are 3 meters), 3 strings that are in the same color and another that is in a different color.
The tutorial includes pictures for every stage!

00:00 – Intro

00:50 – The first stitch picture.

00:53 – First cutting 4 strings (3 meters long each) 3 strings that are in the same color and one in a different color (in my video i have 3 greens and 1 yellow).

01:06 – Taking 2 strings that are in the same color (mine are green), and making a box stitch. (make sure that you weave from the center of the strings)

02:14 – Taking the string with the different color (mine is yellow) and adding it to the center of the stitch.(make sure that you weave from the center of the string)

03:11 – Taking the last string (mine is green) and adding it to the center of stitch.(make sure that you weave from the center of the string).

04:05 – Finally stretching the stitch.

04:25 – In order to have the pineapple effect we have to make the first stitch in that order. That is to say having the 2 center strings in the same color as the orthogonal strings. This is because we always want to keep the same order of the colors for each stitch we do .

04:51 – To make the second stitch we have 2 options.

05:05 -The picture of the first option of the second stitch.

08:39 – Making the second option of the second stitch.

11:36 – The picture of the third stitch, the fourth and etc..(they all the same stitch)

19:39 – Making the 8th stitch.
